Portuguese Lotto

 

Portuguese Lotto is a game released in Portugal since 1985 and at first consisted in completing a ticket with combinations of 6 numbers from 1 to 49, in a drawing of 7 numbered balls (6+1).

On  March 13, 2011, the Portuguese Lotto change the rules and to win the first prize became necessary to hit 5 numbers (in a universe of 49) plus a "Lucky Number" ( 
in a universe of 13 ) but now also has a minimum prize of 1 million euros per Draw.

The draws are held on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

With 2 hits in a ticket you receive a prize, as if you hit the lucky number, the amount invested on the bet will be returned


The probability of hitting the first prize was increased to: 1 in 24,789,492.
